News & Updates

The Law Library Team is very excited to announce that we are joining the Catholic Research Resources Alliance.
We believe that this will help us expand our access to Catholic materials enormously at the same time that it will give our libraries affiliation with the most prestigious Catholic research institutions in the country.
In addition, we have added multiple new resources to our collection.  These include:
  • Religion & the Law: “With more than 600,000 pages and 1,200 titles consisting of books, periodicals, and bibliographies that relate to religion and the law, this library is essential for anyone who is researching the development, history, organization, and fundamental principles of world religion.”
  • Elgar Online: We added multiple digital titles hot off the press from 2015 in the legal field.
  • Encyclopedia of Law and Economics: “This second edition of the acclaimed Encyclopedia of Law and Economics presents a state-of-the-art overview of the literature in the area of law and economics. The series comprises twelve self-contained volumes, each providing a balanced and comprehensive summary of the following domains: criminal law, regulation, methodology of law, property law, intellectual property law, contract law, tort law, labor and employment law, antitrust law, corporate law, procedural law, and the production of legal rules.”
  • Causes of Action: a 49 volume set that we purchased in print.  “Extensive reference providing articles and case studies, which focus on different types of actions. Identifies the various elements of each case, educating you to the litigation issues by offering a Substantive Law Overview. Lists each article’s coverage, and includes an Index of Key Terms and Phrases. Provides detailed research and procedure guidelines, and a Damages Awards Survey, helping you value cases from various jurisdictions. Covers legal interpretations of courts through extensive sample cases. Practice checklists ensure all litigation procedures are properly addressed, and proven litigation forms save time in document preparation.”
  • Oxford Journals: 285 legal titles that we acquired in conjunction with Ave Maria University.  These “prestigious and authoritative journals are published in collaboration with some of the world’s most influential scholarly and professional societies ensuring excellence in research, scholarship, and education.”
  • Numerous print resources including all the updated Restatements, the New Wigmore on Evidence and much, much more.

We have also just created a new informational video about the law library.  You can view it here:
